About the Artist
My name is Suany, and I am an Autistic Latina artist with a passion for creating magical worlds and mystical creatures. From a young age, I’ve been inspired by fantasy stories, drawing characters, landscapes, and everything in between. My work is a way to share these imaginative universes with others who feel the same connection to fantasy that I do.
Creating art, reading, and storytelling became my way of connecting to the world and making sense of it and the people around me. I was always drawn to fantasy novels, especially the Dragonlance series by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, and more recently, The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. These kinds of stories captured my imagination in ways that continue to inspire my work.
I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals—real and imagined. Their presence in my life and stories has shaped the way I see the world. You’ll often find elements of creatures both familiar and fantastical in my work, as I believe animals hold a kind of quiet magic all their own.
Being Autistic gives me a unique way of seeing details, patterns, and emotions—things that often find their way into my creations. Each piece is crafted with care and intention, and I pour my heart into building pieces that speak to fellow dreamers and adventurers. I hope my work adds a little enchantment to your everyday life.
Thank you for being here and supporting my creative journey. I’m thrilled to share my fantasy world with you!
